About The Position

Experienced technician responsible for maintenance and repair of wastewater collection systems, lift stations, and related equipment. This role includes field troubleshooting, team leadership, and emergency response.

Requirements

• Florida Wastewater Collection “C” Certification and Class “B” CDL (tanker & air brake) required (or within 6 months)
• 5+ years of experience in wastewater equipment, lift stations, and mechanical maintenance
• Backflow certification required
• Ability to read electrical, SCADA, and utility schematics
• Basic computer skills (MS Office, CMMS, SCADA, GIS)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain pumps, motors, generators, valves, and telemetry systems
• Troubleshoot equipment and evaluate system performance
• Interpret maps, diagrams, and system data to improve operations
• Lead and assign daily tasks to a team of mechanics
• Perform utility locates and inspections as needed
• Respond to after-hours emergencies and work extended hours during storms/disasters
• Follow safety procedures and provide excellent customer service
