About The Position
Sayres is seeking an experienced Lead Marine Gas Turbine Inspector (MGTI) in San Diego, CA with a SECRET clearance, verifiable in DISS. The Lead Marine Gas Turbine Inspector serves as the senior technical authority for gas turbine propulsion inspections supporting Navy surface ship readiness assessments.
Requirements
- Minimum 15 years supervisory experience.
- Minimum two tours as a Navy Marine Gas Turbine Inspector.
- Extensive EOOW experience aboard gas turbine ships.
- Extensive Navy technical management experience.
- Direct operational and maintenance experience within the past five years.
- Experience equivalent to Navy MGTI certification.
- SECRET clearance, verifiable in DISS.
Nice To Haves
- 25+ years highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Lead gas turbine inspections and engineering evaluations.
- Assess propulsion plant material condition and maintenance effectiveness.
- Review inspection findings and recommend corrective actions.
- Mentor inspectors and ensure consistency of inspection standards.
- Prepare readiness reports and technical assessments.
