The Lead Manufacturing Specialist is responsible for product quality review associated with the manufacturing process, with an impact on departmental operations and responsibility for planning and execution. The role has some autonomy but focuses on executing activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required, typically with guidance. The position owns both quality assurance and quality control, including product, service, and manufacturing-process quality; manufacturing conformance; incoming-goods control; product inspection; and witness points. The specialist applies developing in-depth technical knowledge and prior experience to execute policy and strategy, and uses understanding of business drivers and how team work integrates across teams to accomplish work. The role solves straightforward tasks using experience and on-the-job training, may propose solutions outside set parameters with guidance, and draws on internal sources beyond the immediate team when making decisions. It is likely an individual contributor role or an early people-leader role; the specialist provides informal guidance to new team members. The schedule is second shift, Tuesday through Friday, four 10-hour shifts. The role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information, so employment is contingent on proving U.S. Person status as a U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. citizen, or a person granted asylee or refugee status. Candidates must also be legally authorized to work in the United States. An offer is conditioned on successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable; employees may also be subject to random and reasonable-suspicion drug and alcohol testing.
