About The Position

Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and also within departments) according to production schedules. Plan and schedule material/production needs. Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field from an accredited university or college or a minimum of 4 years of manufacturing and/or supply chain experience

Responsibilities

  • Manage master planning, material processes and systems.
  • Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs
  • Develop new solutions under guidance and/or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizations
  • Tracks and expedites orders to ensure delivery schedules are met and part shortages are resolved
  • Utilizes the Material Resource Planning system to respond to the dictates/recommendations in a timely/accurate responsive manner.
  • Supports supplier payment by resolving discrepancies between purchase orders and supplier invoices
  • Facilitates shipment from offshore with approved freight forwarders. Tracks incoming offshore material and addresses customs and delivery delays.
  • Evaluates validity of demand using critical thinking as well as investigates and resolves irregularities
  • Optimize inventory and process improvements
  • Works together with business leadership at SPB and EB level
  • Specify needs, communicates about project approach and presents outcomes of research done
  • Work on cross functional teams. Alternatively: Leads analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods.
