About The Position

Engineering associated with the manufacturing process. The Manufacturing Engineer serves as the hardware expert and go-to source for technical information related to component repair hardware. This expertise is leveraged to support shop floor Machinists and Inspectors, as well as Customer Service Managers (on behalf of customers) and even Fleet, Repair, and Design Engineers associated with their respective parts. This role defines and controls the production process, including tooling and equipment, and validates design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment. It includes direct people management responsibility, including staffing and performance development. The role utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline, analytical thinking, and technical experience to execute policy/strategy. It requires knowledge of best practices and how one's own area integrates with others, with an awareness of the competition and market differentiators. The role uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. It uses technical experience and analytical thinking, drawing from multiple internal and limited external sources to make decisions. The Lead Manufacturing Engineer acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience and may lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. They explain information, developing skills to bring team members to consensus on topics within their field, and convey performance expectations, potentially handling sensitive issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing experience)
  • Minimum of 3 years of (Manufacturing/Engineering experience
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
  • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, or granted asylee or refugee status).
