Where you’re never going alone. Because there’s too much at stake to go solo. Our Radio Products Team is seeking a Lead/Manager – Type-3 Radio Software. You would be responsible for the successful development and release of TrellisWare and Type-3 partner vendor radio product software. The Type-3 radio software team ensures the development of Type-3 tactical radio product specific software, integration of waveforms and waveform agnostic GPP feature functionality. The Type-3 radio software team will deliver software packages for TrellisWare tactical radio products, and each of the Type-3 partner vendor radio products. Additionally, the Type-3 radio software team is expected to deliver high quality radio platform functional packages that align with TrellisWare Product Management and program of record verification release schedules. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science or related field of study required.
  • At least 10 years overall experience in embedded software development with at least 5 years experience integrating with Embedded Linux.
  • At least 2 years experience leading a software development team.
  • Proficient understanding of Linux subsystems is required.
  • Experience integrating with open-source applications is required.
  • Proficient with C++ and Python is required.
  • A working knowledge of distributed revision control systems is required.
  • A working knowledge of common embedded Linux development tools (i.e. compilers, linkers and debuggers) is required.
  • Demonstrates documentation skills and proficient with PC office applications.
  • Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong collaborative drive and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong initiative, proactive work ethic and prioritization skills.
  • Trustable judgement and analytical problem-solving skills.

  • Minimum two years of experience with Yocto Project highly desired.
  • Experience with Boost Build, or other large scale build systems desired...
  • Experience with Object-oriented design is highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • TrellisWare product radio software releases.
  • Partner vendor products radio software releases.
  • Software System Architecture development.
  • Radio product specific implementation.
  • Product Software requirements management.
  • New hardware porting evaluation.

  • Initial feature development testing (product/system level).
  • Product validation testing support.

  • Provide technical leadership and expertise within the Radio Products Team as well as the wider Tactical Communications organization.
