Bridge Construction - Lead Man
About The Position
United Contractors, Inc. is an Iowa-based highway construction company with over 50 years of experience in the industry. Our primary focus is bridge construction, barrier rail, retaining walls, demolition, and materials recycling. Our subsidiary company is involved in concrete sawing, core drilling, and joint sealing (All Concrete Cutting Co.). We are currently expanding our business, and are seeking experienced bridge builders that are capable of running projects and have the ambition and drive to be superintendents in the near future. Lead men are expected to be either a skilled carpenter or NCCCO operator that is able to lead the crew and act as superintendent if the project superintendent is unavailable for any reason.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience
- Skilled carpenter or NCCCO operator
- Experience in bridge construction
- Capable leader

Responsibilities
- Lead the crew and act as superintendent if the project superintendent is unavailable.
- Complete understanding of all applicable contract documents.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and material suppliers.
- Manage a crew of 5-10 employees.
