The Lead technologist is responsible for the daily clinical operations of their assigned centers. This position is critical to Solis Mammography; by providing outstanding care and efficient results, the Lead technologist impacts the profitability of the organization as well as the patient experience. Requirements

  • Completion of formal radiologic technologic technology training program
  • Minimum of two years of healthcare industry experience with ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies preferred
  • Minimum of two years of supervisory experience preferred
  • Valid state radiology registration as required by state law
  • Current ARRT advanced level certification in Mammography
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification
  • Well organized and detail oriented
  • Follows direction with focused attention
  • Exhibits sound judgement
  • Maintains a calm, tactful demeanor when dealing with difficult situations
  • Forms strong working relationships within the team
  • Identifies additional tasks to be complete and willingly assist others
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Prior experience with RIS/PACS preferred
  • Understands and communicates medical terminology

Nice To Haves

  • ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performs mammography and/or assists with biopsies on an as-needed basis
  • Monitors clinical staffing levels.
  • Provides excellent patient care, communicates procedures and provides education on an as-needed basis to new and existing clinical team members
  • Effectively handles patient complaints as, evidenced by patient survey scores and escalates as necessary
  • Assists center director in MQSA compliance as it relates to tracking, following up, and credentials
  • Ensures compliance with all Policies and Procedures
  • Ensures supplies are available as needed to meet patient demands
  • Coordinates service and maintenance of equipment to ensure minimal downtime, as requested by the center director
  • Acts as a point of contact for physician offices requiring clinical information and responds to requests within 24 hours
  • Maintains confidentiality of patient and team member information 100% of the time.
