About The Position

The Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and assisting with equipment installations and modifications. This role also involves maintaining and repairing plumbing and electrical systems, performing general facility maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The technician will also be responsible for maintaining accurate maintenance documentation, participating in continuous improvement initiatives, and inspecting completed work. Flexibility to adjust work schedules to support production demands is required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience maintaining metal fabrication equipment, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, pneumatic diagrams, and machine drawings.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify root causes of equipment failures and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical systems, including single-phase and three-phase systems up to 480V.
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, basic construction, and facility maintenance.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Flexibility to work overtime or adjust schedules based on production needs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, including press brakes, punch presses, CNC machines, welders, air compressors, and HVAC systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions.
  • Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and relocations as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Maintain and repair plumbing systems (air, water, and drain lines) and electrical systems, including motors, lighting, and control circuits.
  • Perform general facility maintenance, including lighting repairs, structural maintenance, and minor construction projects.
  • Follow all Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space, electrical safety, OSHA, and Cal/OSHA regulations.
  • Complete and maintain accurate maintenance documentation, including work orders, preventive maintenance checklists, and parts usage records.
  • Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability.
  • Inspect completed work for proper assembly, verify equipment operation, identify potential safety hazards, and clean the work area in accordance with Foreign Object Debris (FOD) standards.
  • Maintain service histories and preventive maintenance records for all machinery and equipment.
  • Adjust work schedules as needed to support production demands.
