About The Position

The Lead Maintenance Technician will be responsible for overseeing the assembly, installation, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical systems and machinery throughout the facility. Additional responsibilities include diagnosing issues, managing work orders, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. This role requires high technical proficiency, organizational skills, and leadership capabilities.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or technical diploma in Electro-Mechanical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of AC/DC circuits, PLCs, motors, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics, and vacuum systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, diagnostic instruments, and maintenance software.
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Must be able to wear a respirator and adhere to all other PPE requirements for the position.
  • Ability to enter and attend permit required confined space.
  • Mobile Equipment Certified.

Nice To Haves

  • Industrial electrical experience preferred.
  • Experience in an industrial production setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of Pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical systems preferred.
  • Preferred experience with HVAC systems.
  • Knowledge of machinery operating software/hardware such as PLC’s and VFD controls and hands-on experience with installing, troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing Electrical & Electronic Control Systems and components preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand technical documentation and use trade mathematics along with precision measuring/testing instruments preferred.
  • Working knowledge of sensors and monitoring devices for temperature, flow, pressure, voltage, current and other parameters preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical components according to schematics, blueprints, or technical drawings.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in machinery as well as throughout the overall facility.
  • Manage inventory of tools and supplies, submitting requisitions when necessary.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support new equipment installations or modifications.
  • Prioritize, assign, and manage work orders, ensuring timely repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Ability to work emergency call-ins and mandatory overtime including weekends.
  • Perform other functions as requested by management.
