The Lead Machinist is responsible for mastering the running and maintenance of multiple multi-axis CNC machines with tolerances to 0.0005”. This role involves instructing machinists on quality checks, scrap control, and managing set-up and tool changes for materials including Stainless Steel, Titanium, Aluminum, and Acetyl. The Lead Machinist will support manufacturing process optimization by collaborating with Manufacturing Engineering, improving changeover efficiency through standard setting, and training machinists on these standards. This position requires effective communication, critical thinking for problem-solving (including root cause analysis), and adaptability.
