Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • 3–5 years of automotive or auction experience is preferred.
  • Prior leadership experience is highly preferred, with a proven ability to manage direct reports and hold them accountable.
  • Proficiency with computer systems, inventory applications, and electronic devices used to scan and record movement.
  • Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license that meets requirements.
  • Able to safely drive a variety of vehicle makes, models, and sizes.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must be able to pass a complete background check.
  • This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and hold the Lot Operations team accountable for daily performance, providing ongoing feedback and monitoring productivity.
  • Coordinate daily activities to ensure vehicles are in the correct location and ready for the auction, organizing vehicle flow and collaborating with other departments.
  • Delegate tasks and distribute workloads effectively to meet pre-sale and lot maintenance requirements within aggressive timelines.
  • Oversee the onboarding and training of new team members on standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and technical systems.
  • Conduct daily inspections to ensure lot appearance meets standards for cleanliness and proper maintenance, and perform pre-sale quality checks.
  • Assist with inventory management by locating, numbering, and moving vehicles, confirming VIN and vehicle data accuracy.
  • Ensure department safety compliance and promote a high degree of safety focus within the team during all lot movements.
  • Assure good operating condition of equipment and assign cleaning tasks as needed to maintain an orderly lot.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the designated manager.
