Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
3–5 years of automotive or auction experience is preferred.
Prior leadership experience is highly preferred, with a proven ability to manage direct reports and hold them accountable.
Proficiency with computer systems, inventory applications, and electronic devices used to scan and record movement.
Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license that meets requirements.
Able to safely drive a variety of vehicle makes, models, and sizes.
High School diploma or GED required.
To be able to do your job at ADESA, you must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

Lead, manage, and hold the Lot Operations team accountable for daily performance.
Provide ongoing performance feedback and monitor individual productivity to meet operational objectives.
Coordinate daily activities to ensure vehicles are in the correct location and ready for the auction.
Organize the flow of vehicles and collaborate with other departments to schedule daily lot movement.
Delegate tasks and distribute workloads effectively to ensure all pre-sale and lot maintenance requirements are met within aggressive timelines.
Oversee the onboarding and training of new team members, ensuring they are proficient in standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and technical systems.
Conduct daily inspections to ensure lot appearance meets standards for cleanliness and proper maintenance.
Perform pre-sale quality checks to support overall operational flow.
Assist with inventory management by locating, numbering, and moving vehicles to designated areas while confirming VIN and vehicle data accuracy.
Ensure department safety compliance and promote a high degree of safety focus within the team during all lot movements.
Assure good operating condition of equipment and assign cleaning tasks as needed to maintain an orderly lot.
Perform any other duties assigned by the designated manager.
