About The Position

Stationary + Bar Car, located inside the Historic Union Station Building in Nashville, is building a new stellar restaurant kitchen and is looking for cooks who care about the craft. Stationery and Bar Car are chef-driven restaurants focused on quality foods, execution, and strong kitchen culture. They seek sharp cooks, strong leaders, and people who take pride in the line. Cooks who work clean, move fast, respect standards, don’t take short cuts, and want to cook with a team that gives a damn are encouraged to apply. This is not a banquet kitchen or a boring hotel cook job.

Requirements

Strong on the line and able to remain calm under pressure
High attention to mise en place, timing, and execution
Respect for the kitchen, your station, and your team
Sense of urgency with a purpose-driven work ethic
Desire to learn, improve, and grow within the craft
Pride in being a cook and commitment to the role
Experience working in a high-volume or quality-driven kitchen environment preferred
Background in scratch cooking and working with fresh, high-quality ingredients
Proven ability to execute consistently and work as part of a team
Equivalent hands-on kitchen experience is highly valued
Successful completion of a background check is required prior to employment
