The Lead Learning Support Teacher is responsible for providing instructional leadership and support to teachers and students. This role involves providing specialized educational support in reading, writing, math, and all other subjects to students in elementary school and middle school. The position also requires supervising and scheduling support teachers, assisting in school goal establishment, and promoting a positive learning environment. A key aspect of the role is implementing and monitoring individualized education plans (IEPs) and 504 plans, participating in relevant meetings, and collaborating with teachers to enhance instruction and student growth. The teacher will also teach students individually or in small groups using research-based strategies, communicate regularly with students, parents, and teachers, and lead Student Support Team (SST) meetings. Daily attendance, punctuality, and participation in in-service training, faculty meetings, and school community events are essential.
