Requirements

  • 6 to 12 months of related restaurant experience or training
  • Food Handler’s Certification or ability to acquire
  • Flexibility in schedule is highly preferred but not required
  • General administrative and computer skills strongly preferred
  • Ability to speak, read, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all culinary functions, including but not limited to food purchasing, receiving, preparation and maintenance of quality standards, safety, sanitation, and cleanliness
  • Train hourly culinary team members on recipes, food safety, equipment, and all standard operating procedures
  • Ensure all menu items served meets or exceeds our standard of excellence
  • Maintain full knowledge of all recipes, including seasonal offerings
  • Complete all role responsibilities effectively with limited supervision while demonstrating strong leadership and motivating others
  • Handle any team member disputes or situations with genuine empathy and elevate to the Sr Kitchen Manager as necessary
  • Complete all opening, mid, and closing procedures; complete daily checklist and side work assignments
  • Facilitate receiving and maintenance of incoming deliveries
  • Conduct weekly inventory
  • Keep all areas of the kitchen and restaurant clean and organized by following cleaning checklists
  • Assist with setting up patio furniture and maintenance of outside fixtures and seating area, if applicable for the location
  • Any other task that you may be called upon to complete by your direct supervisor
