About The Position

Confires is seeking a Lead Kitchen Fire Suppression Technician. This position requires the ability to service, inspect and repair kitchen suppression systems for established commercial customers on a scheduled basis and must be available for on-call rotation. The role involves inspecting and repairing pre-engineered restaurant fire suppression systems manufactured by ANSUL, Pyro Chem, Range Guard and Piranha. A thorough understanding of NFPA, manufacturer, and local fire codes for restaurant fire suppression systems is essential. Responsibilities include performing on-site emergency troubleshooting, identifying NFPA code and non-conformance issues, maintaining proper documentation, and performing fire marshal tests and inspections. The technician must be available for on-call rotation.

Requirements

• A current and valid driver's license with 3 or less points is required.
• Three years of licensed driving experience is required.
• Two or more years' experience inspecting restaurant fire suppression systems.
• Must have knowledge and understanding of all NFPA codes.
• Willing to work varied hours, nights, early morning and weekend shift when needed.
• Must have excellent attendance and can handle responsibility.
• Must be comfortable working on ladders 6 to 12ft and on lifts.
• Ability to lift up to 70lbs, to work overhead and in unusual or small spaces such as attics and crawl spaces.
• Skills to communicate well with customers and explain the work being done and any repairs that are necessary.
• Skills to write well and be very detailed in your write up on service work.
• Must be well organized and be able to keep track of service tickets and process all required documents for each service performed.

Responsibilities
