About The Position

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Lead Java Full Stack Engineer to architect, design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade web applications and distributed systems operating at significant scale across multiple business domains. The role covers the end-to-end engineering lifecycle: translating business requirements into technical designs, writing production-quality code, deploying cloud-native services, and supporting them throughout their operational lifespan. The successful candidate will bring deep backend expertise in Java and the Spring ecosystem, along with hands-on experience building responsive, component-driven front-end applications using modern JavaScript frameworks. The engineer will collaborate with product managers, architects, DevOps engineers, and fellow developers in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality, secure, and performant applications that support strategic business outcomes. This is a full-time, direct W2 position, performed 100% remotely in the United States.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
At least five years of professional software development experience building production-grade enterprise applications.
Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, computational complexity, and end-to-end system design principles.
Advanced working knowledge of Java versions 11 and 17 and the Spring Boot framework.
Experience designing clean, idiomatic RESTful APIs.
Production-level experience designing and operating microservices architectures, including service decomposition, inter-service communication, and observability patterns.
Experience developing front-end applications using React.
Strong SQL skills and meaningful experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server, including query tuning and schema design.
Experience with CI/CD tooling and Git-based version control workflows, including branching strategies, code review practices, and release management.
Hands-on experience deploying applications to at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including familiarity with managed services, networking, and identity primitives.
Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills, with the ability to investigate problems methodically and document findings clearly.

Nice To Haves

Working familiarity with Angular or Vue.
Experience designing and operating event-driven architectures using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or equivalent streaming platforms.
Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
Exposure to distributed system design principles such as eventual consistency, CAP trade-offs, idempotency, and saga patterns.
Experience writing automation tests using modern frameworks and contributing to test-driven and behavior-driven development practices.
