About The Position

This role is for a talented, tenacious, meticulous, and results-focused individual to join an innovative and high-performing GenAI and Mobile Team. The Lead IT Scrum Master will manage the delivery of complex GenAI and/or Mobile related iterative waterfall and agile projects. This position involves serving a range of different stakeholders and building and improving relationships across all levels of the organization. Global Functions Technology (GFT) is part of RBC’s Technology and Operations division, collaborating with partners across the company to deliver innovative and transformative IT solutions for clients in Risk, Finance, HR, CAO, Audit, Legal, Compliance, Financial Crime, Capital Markets, Personal and Commercial Banking, and Wealth Management. GFT also leads the development of digital tools and platforms to enhance collaboration. The team believes in driving innovation, challenging assumptions, and being bold with ideas. Requirements

  • 5+ years of Agile Project Management and/or Senior-level Scrum Master experience which includes both waterfall and agile projects.
  • Proficiency in leveraging AI-powered development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Windsurf) to enhance productivity and efficiency in daily project tasks.
  • Demonstrate expertise in creating high-impact, visually compelling presentations tailored to diverse audiences and business objectives.
  • Undergraduate degree (preferred) - Preferably in Business, Technology, or Financial Services.
  • Project/Agile/Scrum certifications (e.g. PMP, CSM, PSM, and/or SAFe).
  • Strong communication skills with experience presenting to Senior Directors, VPs, and above.
  • Proven ability to manage projects with third-party vendors and significant technology components.
  • Advanced knowledge of change, issue, dependency, and risk management.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with the AISDLC framework.
  • Project Management experience within a financial institution managing technical implementation projects related to GenAI and/or Mobile App delivery.
  • Working background/experience with segments of RBC (either business or IT) and Knowledge of RBC systems (Archer, JIRA, Lumina).

Responsibilities

  • Organize, facilitate & lead the agile program processes and their execution, escalate impediments, manage risk, and helps drive program-level continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate program events such as Program backlog refinement, Product increment planning, Sprint planning, Product Retrospective, and the Scrum of Scrums.
  • Meet with business and technology leads to understand objectives and map out technical and testing requirements based on Strategic roadmaps.
  • Provide end-to-end project management, including building and managing the detailed schedule, managing financials, resource forecasting, identifying early warning indicators, and proposing solutions for issues.
  • Identification and management of project dependencies; ensuring dependency work is closely tracked and delivered to prevent schedule slippage.
  • Collect project performance indicators, build status reports, and create Management & VP-level presentations.
