Sargent & Lundy•Harrisburg, PA
•Onsite

About The Position

This onsite position supports the Crane Clean Energy Center/Three Mile Island Nuclear Generating Station in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The role is part of Sargent & Lundy’s expanding Instrumentation and Controls Engineering group, supporting digitization of existing power plants and development of new nuclear power plants and small modular reactors. The engineer will work on major process-controls projects and direct technical decision-making within project teams designing, modifying, and analyzing new and existing plant control systems, particularly digital upgrades. The position involves complex nuclear power project work in design, operational excellence, safety, maintenance, and project management. It includes digital systems design and development, technical reviews, calculations, engineering documentation, vendor coordination, client interaction, and support for station outage activities. The engineer may also perform consulting-level work involving digital IoT, innovation, and first-of-a-kind nuclear projects. Sargent & Lundy’s Nuclear Power Group works on nuclear engineering, design, and licensing, including small modular reactors, advanced reactor technology, reactor restart projects, life extensions, digital modernization, coal-to-nuclear conversions, and international new-build projects. The company describes its work as supporting clean, carbon-free energy and reducing emissions.
