Lead Instructor - El Cerrito
About The Position
codeCampus is seeking to hire and train a Lead Instructor in the El Cerrito area for the current school year, starting September 2026. The role involves leading STEAM projects and activities for students in partner-school classrooms using codeCampus’s proprietary curriculum. Instructors teach students from transitional kindergarten through eighth grade, work with school staff, build trusting and respectful relationships with students and parents, and create a safe environment for students. Training is paid, and the hourly rate is $25–$28 depending on experience, with opportunities for pay raises based on performance and time with the company.
Requirements
- Available to start paid training immediately and begin instructing immediately.
- Available to work the current school year and beyond.
- Available Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Experience teaching and managing large groups of youth in an academic setting.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Access to reliable transportation.
- Willingness to complete the professional development training program.
Responsibilities
- Work with site staff at partner schools in the area.
- Lead STEAM projects and activities for students in their classrooms using the proprietary curriculum.
