About The Position

Pella Windows & Doors is seeking an experienced Lead Installer to join their team. This role involves managing and overseeing multiple construction projects concurrently to completion, managing and recruiting in-house installer crews, and having prior experience in home remodeling projects, estimating, and project management. The Lead Installer will also interface with customers daily, sometimes in difficult circumstances, and ensure the Pella Customer experience is delivered. Responsibilities include moving and protecting customer property during installations and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience
  • Acute knowledge of proper use and function of carpentry bench and hand-type tools, general knowledge of carpentry, extensive experience with measuring and cutting - required.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, building specifications
  • Two year’s construction-related experience - required.
  • High School diploma (or equivalent) - required.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions and decimals - required.
  • Able to apply basic concepts of geometry and algebra, and be able to calculate percentages and geometric sums.
  • Must possess, or be willing to be tested for, a Missouri Class “E” driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Manage/recruits and monitor in house installer crew
  • Prior experience in home remodeling projects, estimating and project management
  • Interface with our customer on a daily basis, sometimes in difficult circumstances; must meet these demands successfully and with the company’s mission in-mind delivering the Pella Customer experience.
  • Move and protect a customer’s personal property when installing or removing existing windows and doors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Complete window and door installations in accordance with Company policies and procedures
  • Perform quality rough framing, finish carpentry, interior trim, base, casing and crown molding work
  • Assist in glass replacement and repairs
  • Assist in field training of additional installers
  • Assist in recommendations for improving install efficiencies
  • Identify and repair service related issues
  • Initiate and maintain safe work practices
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Protect, repair, and maintain property of the Company, the contractor or the customer at all times
