About The Position

The Receiving Inspection Lead assists with daily scheduling of priorities and review of documentation for specification compliance. Inspects materials at receipt of the products, reviews documentation to ensure specifications comply with customer flow downs.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident of the United States (ITAR restrictions).
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to work at this facility.
  • Must be eligible to possess explosives under the Safe Explosives Act of 2003 (as amended) as required by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) for all employees of Tech Ord.
  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word; ability to learn and become proficient in our internal computer programs and applications.
  • Ability to identify and prioritize workload as well as work independently to accomplish tasks using time management skills with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate and document effectively in English.
  • Ability to work effectively with other employees as part of a team as well as ability to work independently to accomplish tasks using time management skills with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to talk and hear in order to communicate with others.
  • Seated work up to 90% of the workday.
  • Occasionally required to stand and/or walk both indoors and outdoors.
  • Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel as well as reach with hands and arms.
  • Lifting of 10 pounds is required. Must be able to move materials up to 50 pounds with assistance by lifting, pushing, or pulling.
  • Bending, squatting, or kneeling is required to move materials as well as to perform other duties such as filing.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus when viewing a computer monitor.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in quality assurance process and/or production environment is preferred
  • Familiarity with common measuring instruments as well as conventional and geometric tolerance is preferred.
  • Understanding of ISO requirements is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Examines supplier documentation to verify conformance to requirements.
  • Follows product specific Inspection Plans by inspecting products to determine compliance with order specifications and company’s quality control systems.
  • Completes documentation to show inspections and acceptance of incoming materials to be used for production.
  • Reports product nonconformance by following the Tech Ord NCR process.
  • Performs other work related duties as assigned.
