About The Position

Discovery Kidzone is seeking a caring and experienced Lead Infant Teacher to create a nurturing, safe, and engaging classroom environment for infants. This role involves leading daily routines, planning and implementing developmentally appropriate learning experiences, fostering children's development, building relationships with families, observing and documenting progress, ensuring compliance with regulations, mentoring assistant teachers, maintaining a clean and safe classroom, and partnering with center leadership. The position offers support, coaching, and professional development opportunities for career growth in early childhood education.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in a licensed childcare or early learning program
  • Experience working with infants or toddlers preferred
  • Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent coursework preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
  • Dependable, patient, and passionate about early childhood education
  • CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire)
  • Ability to complete all required Montana licensing, training, and background check requirements

  • Leadership experience is a plus, but not required—we provide coaching and mentorship

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily classroom routines for infants and young toddlers
  • Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences
  • Foster children's cognitive, social, emotional, language, and physical development
  • Build positive relationships with children and their families
  • Observe, document, and communicate children's progress
  • Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and Discovery Kidzone policies
  • Mentor and support Assistant Teachers while promoting teamwork
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment
  • Partner with center leadership to provide exceptional early childhood education
