About The Position

The Gardner School of Ashburn is seeking a Lead Infant Teacher for their State-of-the-Art facility. This role involves leading and inspiring a classroom with creativity, care, and excellence, mentoring assistant teachers, and building meaningful relationships with families and children. The position focuses on planning engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons that spark curiosity while maintaining safety, compliance, and a joyful classroom environment. The Gardner School is an academically focused preschool for ages 6 weeks to 5 years, committed to stimulating children's physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth. They offer extensive training, orientation, and continuing education programs, with opportunities for advancement within their growing organization across 8 states. The school emphasizes a nurturing start for children, providing a safe, purposeful, and enriching community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in ECE, or CDA (required)
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
  • 2+ years of early childhood education experience (lead or co-lead experience preferred)
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. (Required)
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Intermediate PC skills and proficiency with general administrative tasks. (Required)
  • Active engagement throughout the day including standing, sitting on the floor, bending, and lifting up to ~60 lbs.
  • Ability to fulfill cognitive and interpersonal aspects of a classroom leadership including speaking, hearing, reading, writing, focusing attention, and building relationships
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
