About The Position

CLX Engineering is seeking a Lead Industrial Controls Integration Engineer to lead complex automation and controls integration projects. This role involves owning the architecture, execution, and customer relationship from start to finish. The ideal candidate is a problem solver who understands the interplay between electrical, mechanical, and IT systems, and can guide a team from concept to commissioned systems in airports and industrial facilities. Responsibilities include reviewing AutoCAD drawings, writing PLC/HMI code, and performing field work.

Requirements

5+ years in automation, controls, or systems integration.
Confident PLC programmer and HMI developer with hands-on troubleshooting chops.
Experienced integrator of controls hardware, industrial networks, and data systems.
Natural leader who has run technical teams and complex projects.
Clear communicator with a professional, customer-facing presence.
Accountable, decisive, and comfortable operating with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

Lead technical execution and keep engineering and field teams aligned to plan.
Develop/review PLC and HMI applications, electrical designs, and documentation.
Direct design reviews and drive consistency through standards and best practices.
Investigate complex issues and implement robust fixes that stick.
Support installation, startup, commissioning, and on-site troubleshooting.
Collaborate on installation activities, mount enclosures, terminate cables, and assist with equipment startup and commissioning alongside technicians and field crews.
Travel to support implementation, commissioning, and customer support.
