About The Position

River Edge Behavioral Health is seeking a Lead Individual Support Worker (Lead ISW) to provide supervision to Individual Support Workers and assist clients with daily living activities in an individual's home or residential facility. This role involves observing and monitoring client behavior, charting observations and incidents, and providing training in basic personal and social skills, simple academics, or work skills. The Lead ISW may also assist with meal preparation, ADLs, and transportation. The position is located at 139 Woodfield Drive, Macon, GA, with a schedule of Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, and requires on-call duty as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• 1-year direct support experience
• Ability to observe and monitor participants’ behavior.
• Knowledge of agency confidentiality policies
• Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
• Ability to plan recreational activities for participants.
• Knowledge of agency safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to complete all daily housekeeping chores
• Must pass a satisfactory background clearance and pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that goals are tracked at home.
• Attend ISP meetings (annually, at day center).
• Conduct weekly home meetings.
• Instruct and advise individuals on daily living skills in one-on-one or group instruction.
• Perform housekeeping duties, such as cleaning, washing clothes and dishes, and running errands, as needed.
• Provide transportation for clients/residents to appointments and activities, including doctor appointments as needed.
• Maintain that medications are currently at home.
• Supervise Individual Support Workers.
• Be available on call duty as needed.
• Assist clients with daily living activities in an individual’s home or residential facility.
• Observe and monitor client behavior and chart observations and incidents.
• Provide training in basic personal and social skills, simple academics, or work skills.
• Assist with meal preparation, ADLs, and transportation.
