About The Position

We are seeking a passionate and resilient Residential Childcare Worker to join a small, family-run children's residential provider in Brompton on Swale, Richmond. This role involves providing trauma-informed care and support to young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and trauma. The company operates multiple homes across North Yorkshire, focusing on creating nurturing and stable environments for children to thrive. The home has a 'Good' Ofsted rating.

Requirements

• Hold a Full UK Driving Licence and have access to a vehicle.
• NVQ Level 3 or above in Residential Childcare.
• Experience in a children's residential setting.
• Must not have only CQC experience and must have worked in an Ofsted Registered Children's Home.
• Must not only hold a Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
• Candidates with only Healthcare, NHS, CQC, or Nursery Practitioner qualifications will not be considered.
• Must not require sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• Enrolled on the Level 4 Children, Young People and Families Practitioner or Level 3 Residential Childcare is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed care and support to young people with EBD and trauma.
• Work a mix of shifts including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
• Contribute energy, empathy, and resilience to the team.
• Support young people to thrive in a nurturing and stable environment.
