About The Position

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Lead Engineer to support the NGC test bed in Sunnyvale, CA. This team will support the larger HWIL (Hardware In the Loop) team on the CPS program. In this role you will support integration of software applications, simulations and operating systems into the Flight Software Testbeds. Lockheed Martin is leading the way in hypersonic missile development and we want you to be a part of it! We are creating the first hypersonic boost/glide system for the US Army and Navy here on the Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) program, and our NGC-SW Integrated Product Team (IPT) is responsible for the algorithms and software that control it. Our group includes the Navigation, Guidance, and Control (NG&C or GN&C) subsystem, which flies the missile and glide body, and the embedded Flight Software (FSW) which hosts the NG&C algorithms and provides health, status, and sequencing for the entire system. Additionally, we develop and maintain the Flight Software testbeds (HILs or HWILs) which provide complete hardware integration testing with feedback and flight simulation to test the NG&C algorithms and flight software.

Requirements

Recent Software/Hardware integration experience
Prior Team Lead experience
Knowledge of Agile Software Development
Proficient Linux experience
US Citizenship required
Interim Secret Clearance needed start with the ability to obtain and maintain final secret clearance.

Nice To Haves

Active DoD Secret security clearance
Experience with TLYF (Test Like You Fly), HWIL (Hardware In the Loop), and/or PIL (Processor In the Loop)
Ability to work in a collaborative and team based environment
Excellent written and oral communication skills
