About The Position

The Lead HR Generalist is responsible for planning, developing, and administering a variety of HR programs for the site including employment, wage and salary administration, employee communications, employee training and staff development, benefits and other related human resources activities. In this role, you will have a variety of responsibilities including coordinating and monitoring activities to ensure compliance of programs with all applicable state and deferral laws, regulations and guidelines as well as conforming with Eaton corporate human resources management policies and practices. In this role, you will: Be a Strategic Partner to operations and functional groups who develops a strategy to retain and attract the required staffing levels to meet business needs. Provide advanced coaching, consulting and facilitation skills to influence behavior and business decisions consistent with Eaton Leadership Model Ensure data integrity in all HR systems with timely and accurate entry. Utilize gathering data and metrics through HR technology systems to determine organizational health. Foster a culture where ownership of health and safety is embraced by all employees. Utilize MESH to ensure compliance with state/federal safety requirements and drive “zero incidents” safety culture. This includes owning at a minimum one MESH Category for the site. Support positive employee relations to provide an optimal work environment for all employees. Effectively deploy communication plans and utilize assessment tools (ie. employee survey) to determine organization issues and action plans. Execute and support the South Milwaukee’s staffing & promotional procedures, payroll and time & attendance processes. Leads investigations on employee relation matters. Lead and support deployment of Front Line Leader Learning Series as well as division-wide special projects as assigned by the HR Manager & HR Director Acts a back-up to HR Manager

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • Minimum 3 years of human resources generalist experience with at least one year in a manufacturing environment
