This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, training, and HR administration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of Human Resources work experience.
  • Knowledgeable of federal and state law and general Human Resources concepts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and decision making.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic business environment.
  • Demonstrates organizational skills and prioritization.
  • Professional management of confidential information, and strong business acumen.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 2 years of HR work experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts full-cycle recruitment processes, including job posting, sourcing, screening, interview scheduling, offer, pre-employment process documentation, and onboarding.
  • Creates a partnership with local schools and universities to attract newly educated candidates for current and future recruitment needs.
  • Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Leads in the organization in the coordination of employee activities and events, as well as any support needed during the activities or events.
  • Ensures required staff and materials are available and prepared for events or activities.
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity, and retention.
  • Assists in the development, implementation, and administration of HR policies and procedures.
  • Provides HR policy and procedure guidance and interpretation.
  • Provides advice and assistance to employees and managers on HR policies, programs, and procedures; Resolves HR inquiries or escalates appropriately.
  • Stays current on state/federal employment laws and company policies.
  • Supports training and development efforts.
  • Drives a high-level of employee engagement, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Participates in supporting special projects with organization-wide impact.
  • Additional functions and requirements may be assigned as needed.
