About The Position

This role involves performing as a regular Housekeeping attendant with additional leadership duties. The Lead Housekeeper will assist the supervisor in supervising, training, and developing subordinates, as well as ensuring the cleaning and maintenance of the entire casino. A key focus is on maintaining customer satisfaction and fostering teamwork. The position requires adherence to daily cleaning schedules per eight (8) hour shift and a thorough understanding of all Housekeeping responsibilities. The Lead Housekeeper will also perform routine inspections to ensure methodologies are followed and that all cleaning tasks are completed safely and efficiently. Effective verbal and written communication is essential, as is the ability to train and evaluate subordinates. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds and push up to one hundred (100) pounds multiple times per week. All other work-related duties as assigned by the supervisor are also part of the role.

Requirements

Three years previous experience as a housekeeper.
Must be able to speak, read, and understand English.
Knowledge of chemical usage and safety procedures.
Possess excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the position.
Must possess an ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to make educated ethical decisions as necessary.
Must be able to resolve conflicts.
Must have effective communication skills with all levels of employees.
Must be able to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Perform as a regular Housekeeping attendant with additional duties while leading by example.
Assist supervisor in supervising, training, and development of subordinates.
Assist supervisor in the cleaning and maintenance of the entire casino, keeping in mind customer satisfaction and teamwork.
Follow daily cleaning schedules per eight (8) hour shift.
Demonstrate knowledge of all Housekeeping responsibilities.
Ensure methodologies and perform routine inspections.
Assure that all cleaning tasks are performed in a safe and timely manner.
Effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
Assist supervisor in training and evaluation of subordinates.
Lift a maximum of fifty (50) pounds up to three (3) times per week.
Push a maximum of one hundred (100) pounds up to three (3) times per week for various job-related duties per eight (8) hour shift.
Perform all other work-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
