The Deputy General Manager is responsible for upholding and administering all Regal policies and brand standards, ensuring adherence to cash management and risk management policies. This role involves overseeing employee safety, loss prevention, and proper handling of food and alcohol. The Deputy General Manager must comply with all food safety rules and regulations, and promptly report accidents and business interruptions. A key part of the role includes hiring, training, developing, mentoring, supervising, counseling, scheduling, and terminating employees, as well as training staff in various positions including server, box office, food runner, bartender, and kitchen staff. The position also requires maintaining projection and sound technology, ensuring facilities are cleaned and maintained, directing kitchen and bar maintenance, and overseeing necessary repairs. The Deputy General Manager is responsible for optimizing profits through strict cost controls, maintaining inventory controls, ordering supplies, and managing inventory levels. They will create staff schedules to meet demand while controlling labor costs, and complete daily theatre inspections and kitchen logs. Ensuring guest satisfaction, managing guest relations, marketing, promotions, and responding to guest complaints are also crucial. The role involves counting, depositing, and reconciling all receipts, and keeping updated on recipe changes. The Deputy General Manager must also ensure food and beverage items are consistently prepared and served according to standards, expedite food, collaborate with kitchen staff, and properly store food items. Maintaining a clean work environment, adhering to dress code and hygiene standards, and handling lost and found items are also part of the responsibilities. The position requires compliance with all federal and state laws regarding breaks and meal periods, and completion of management certification programs, SDS training, food handler's card, ServSafe Food Manager Certification, and understanding the Regal Operations Manual and training materials on sexual harassment and discrimination.
