Lead Housekeeper $22 per hour
About The Position
Commerce Casino is hiring a Lead Housekeeper to perform regular housekeeping duties while leading by example. The role assists a supervisor with supervising, training, and developing subordinates, as well as cleaning and maintaining the casino with a focus on customer satisfaction and teamwork. The Lead Housekeeper follows daily cleaning schedules during eight-hour shifts, understands all housekeeping responsibilities, ensures cleaning methodologies are followed, conducts routine inspections, and helps ensure tasks are completed safely and on time. The position also assists with training and evaluating subordinates and performs other work-related duties assigned by the supervisor. Schedules may vary according to business needs because the casino operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Requirements
- Three years of previous experience as a housekeeper.
- Ability to speak, read, and understand English.
- Knowledge of chemical usage and safety procedures.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and make educated, ethical decisions as necessary.
- Ability to resolve conflicts and communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds up to three times per week and push up to 100 pounds up to three times per week during an eight-hour shift.
- Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the position.
