Supports a welcoming and safe environment for students and staff through consistent housekeeping services. Inspects room areas and ensure they are in compliance with PWS requirements. Location: Charleston, SC

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 months of housekeeping or custodial experience, preferably in a dormitory, hotel, or institutional setting.
  • Familiarity with cleaning products and safe handling procedures.
  • Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, standing, and performing repetitive motions.
  • Reliable attendance and ability to follow detailed instructions.
  • Must pass background screening and meet all FLETC access and conduct requirements.
  • If operating Company-provided vehicles, maintaining a valid driver�s license in good standing is a condition of employment.
  • If operating Company-provided vehicles, employee must comply with all Company vehicle use and safety policies, as well as all applicable traffic laws.
  • If operating Company-provided vehicles, the Company may review your motor vehicle record (MVR), as permitted by law, to verify eligibility to operate Company vehicles.
  • If operating Company-provided vehicles, you must immediately notify the Company if your driver�s license is suspended, revoked, restricted, expires, or if your driving privileges otherwise change.
  • Must be eligible for DHS background investigation and suitability clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident with work authorization.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare rooms for incoming students.
  • Clean rooms after departure of outgoing students.
  • Clean and disinfect dormitory rooms, restrooms, and shared common areas.
  • Change bed linens, restock toiletries, and empty trash bins.
  • Make beds in occupied rooms if able to.
  • Vacuum, mop, dust, and sanitize surfaces according to schedule.
  • Notify dorm clerks or supervisors of maintenance issues or supply needs.
  • Maintain supply carts, follow assigned cleaning routes, and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Do not move students� personal items. If any services are not able to be performed due to personal items being in the way, leave a note stating such (note template is provided by company)
  • Turn in reports as required by managers.
  • Full-time employees are expected to clean up to 20+ rooms per day.
  • As lead, inspect room areas after completion and ensure they are in compliance with PWS.
  • Responsible to �pass� or �fail� rooms.
