About The Position

The Lead Housekeeper / Quality Control Inspector performs housekeeping services and quality control inspections in support of contract requirements and established cleaning standards. This position is a working service role, responsible for both performing cleaning functions and verifying the quality and completeness of housekeeping services. Quality control duties are performed in conjunction with and in support of housekeeping services and do not constitute a separate administrative or managerial function.

Requirements

  • Prior housekeeping, janitorial, or environmental services experience preferred
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift
  • Ability to lift up to 25-50 pounds as required
  • Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine and recurring cleaning and servicing of assigned areas, including but not limited to: Cleaning restrooms, offices, patient areas, and common spaces Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting Cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, including high-touch areas Trash collection and disposal Restocking supplies (paper products, soap, etc.) Following all sanitation, infection control, and safety procedures Performing assigned cleaning routes and responding to service needs
  • Conducts inspections of cleaned areas to verify adherence to standards Identifying deficiencies and required corrective actions Verifying completion of housekeeping tasks and assignments Communicating findings to team members and supervisors Assisting in maintaining quality control checklists and documentation Supporting continuous improvement of cleaning performance
  • Provides on-the-job guidance and support to housekeeping staff Assists with training reinforcement of cleaning procedures and expectations Serves as a resource for day-to-day operational questions Supports adherence to company policies and contract requirements
  • Adheres to all OSHA, safety, and site-specific requirements Complies with contract standards and government facility protocols Properly uses and maintains cleaning equipment and materials Reports hazards, incidents, and deficiencies promptly
