Sexy Fish Miami brings the vibrant spirit of contemporary Asian dining to the heart of Brickell, combining bold design, world-class food, and electric energy. Located in a stunning setting, our venue is as much a feast for the eyes as it is for the palate. We are seeking a polished, professional, and energetic Lead Host/Hostess to serve as the face of our restaurant. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a high-volume, upscale environment and understands the importance of first impressions.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in customer service or hospitality (restaurant front desk/host experience required)
  • Friendly, calm under pressure, and excellent at multitasking

Nice To Haves

  • Maintain complete knowledge of: Daily restaurant covers. Hours of operation of each outlet, ambiance, menu selections and price range. Featured entertainment performing at the restaurant. Menu items, specials, out of stock items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available in the Restaurant. Table/seat/station numbers, proper table set ups, room capacity, hours of operation, price range and dress code of the Restaurant.

Responsibilities

  • Assists Reception Manager in ensuring reception team reports for duty punctually always wearing the correct uniform with the highest standards of grooming.
  • Ensure all our guests receive a positive, warm, and professional first impression of the Restaurant and to be seated at their table.
  • Assist in an efficient registration and logging of all arriving guests.
  • Assists Reception Manager in booking in an efficient way, to allocate tables equally over all sections of the Restaurant and to stagger times of bookings. Must always have awareness of future booking constraints.
  • Answer all incoming calls promptly and courteously and to ensure all telephone messages, and emails are answered accordingly.
  • Assists Reception Manager in ensuring all booking details are accurate and to assist in maximizing table occupancy.
  • Ensure all reservations are communicated to the Management Team on duty in a detailed hand-over and to inform them of Special Attention Guests/VIP’s.
  • Report and log any complaints/comments to the Management Team on duty.
  • Ensure all dietary requirements are detailed and accurate for party bookings and kitchen has this information in good time.
  • Ensure immaculate cleanliness of all menus, no smudges, cornered pages, stains etc.
  • Ensure regular clients are recognized and greeted accordingly and their profiles are regularly updated.
  • Acknowledge and bid farewell to all departing guests leaving them with a good and professional lasting impression.
  • Ensure the weekly stationary requisitions are completed and recorded on time.
  • It is vital that all such information remains confidential and must not be disclosed to anyone outside the company, guests and employees, unless otherwise stated.
  • To manage, train and lead the reception team alongside reception manager
  • Conduct on site induction involving training of the reception position, this will include paperwork and reservation reports to ensure.
