About The Position

Ready to take the lead in the aggregate industry? If you’re a hands-on leader who knows that great production starts with a great team, we want to hear from you. We’re looking for a Lead Hand to join our team at our Duntroon location. Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, you’ll be at the heart of our day-to-day operations—helping keep our processing plants safe, productive, efficient, and running smoothly. You’ll lead by example, support your teammates, troubleshoot challenges, and help ensure we consistently deliver high-quality aggregate products to our customers. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in aggregate, manufacturing, production, or a related industrial environment who is ready to take the next step in their leadership journey.

Requirements

  • A minimum of two (2) years of production, manufacturing, aggregate, or related industrial experience
  • A valid Ontario Class G Driver’s Licence
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating the work of a small team and providing constructive feedback and support
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven problem-solving abilities with the capacity to identify issues, analyze root causes, and implement effective solutions
  • A strong commitment to workplace safety, quality, and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating daily production activities to ensure inventory levels meet customer and sales requirements
  • Monitoring plant performance and conducting routine inspections of equipment and machinery to maximize operational efficiency
  • Preparing daily production reports and communicating production results, including explaining any significant variances
  • Supervising contractors and consultants involved in plant construction, maintenance, or facility improvements
  • Collaborating with supervisors and team members to identify opportunities for operational improvements and increased efficiency
  • Participating in and promoting workplace health, safety, and environmental initiatives
  • Leading, mentoring, and supporting production team members to ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and efficiently
  • Providing guidance, coaching, and motivation while helping identify future training and development opportunities for team members
