Lead Hand, Highway Maintenance (Fox Creek)

Ledcor Highways Ltd. is seeking experienced professionals to support their Foreperson and highway maintenance crews. This role requires expertise in heavy equipment operation, organization, and a safety-first approach to ensure team success and public safety. Requirements
- Valid Class 1 or 3 driver’s license with air endorsement and a clear 3-year driver's abstract.
- Previous supervisory experience in highway maintenance, road construction, bridges or related field is required.
- Strong understanding of provincial and/or municipal highway maintenance specifications.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer skills are an asset.
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol and audiogram testing.
Nice To Haves
- Snow plow experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist leadership with daily tasks including safety toolbox meetings, equipment inspection, and road condition inspection reports.
- Support Foreperson in the planning of work to meet contractual milestones.
- Monitor the quality of work performed by the crew.
- Operate equipment on work sites as needed.
- Help ensure health, safety, and environment related concerns are addressed promptly.
