About The Position

Fairfax Behavioral Health is seeking a licensed Lead Group Therapist for our Kirkland location. The Inpatient Lead Group Therapists give patients the opportunity to learn and grow by teaching valuable skills applicable to everyday life. They work with patients in groups and 1:1 to implement active treatment and individualized treatment plans, helping patients reach their goals. They are also valuable members of a multidisciplinary team which allows the Inpatient Group Therapists to collaborate on treatment decisions and to help create treatment plans. They may perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Clinical Services. Fairfax Behavioral Health, founded in 1930, is a private, free-standing mental health hospital that specializes in psychiatric and detox treatment. We strive to meet and respond to the needs of our community by offering a continuum of care and evidenced-based programs at multiple locations within our region. We have behavioral health facilities and services located in Kirkland, Everett and Monroe, Washington. Mental and behavioral health challenges are a growing concern within our communities. Requirements

  • Masters degree from an accredited college or university in human services, social work, counseling or related field.
  • Valid WA State license (LSWAIC, LMHCA, LMFTA, LICSW, LMHC, LMFT or a Licensed Behavioral Analyst) or associate clinical licensure.
  • Must obtain CPR, First Aid, Handle with Care, and Verbal De-Escalation certifications provided by facility upon hire.
  • Direct experience in individual and family group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment planning.
  • Direct experience managing a caseload of up to 14 clients.
  • Skills and experience in community relations and group presentation.
  • Skills and experience in group facilitation, group adaptation, and curriculum development.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years, post-Master’s experience in a psychiatric health care setting.
