About The Position

Are you someone who takes pride in creating clean, well-maintained outdoor spaces? We’re looking for a Lead Grounds Maintenance Worker to help keep our grounds looking professional, safe, and mission-ready. In this role, you’ll not only maintain landscapes—you’ll lead by example, ensuring all grounds maintenance tasks meet contract standards while supporting daily operations.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 2 years of experience in grounds maintenance and irrigation systems
Valid Driver’s License
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination
Ability to operate a vehicle for company business
General Background Check
Office of Inspector General (OIG) / CMMS Exclusions Check
Driving Record (MVR)
Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Security Screening
Ability to obtain and maintain a NACI clearance

Responsibilities

Ensure all grounds are well-maintained, manicured, and professional in appearance
Lead daily operations in the absence of the Grounds Supervisor
Communicate team concerns, needs, and updates to leadership
Mow, edge, and trim all improved grounds
Maintain sidewalks, curbs, and hard surfaces
Perform weed control and debris removal
Maintain desert landscaping and vacant lots
Irrigate grass, shrubs, and plants
Apply fertilizers and restore damaged lawn areas (seeding/sod)
Prune and trim shrubs and plants
Monitor quality standards and ensure compliance
Support special projects as assigned
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
