The City of Fairburn is seeking an experienced, skilled professional that has extensive experience with lawn maintenance, using lawn equipment and working in Public Works field. This position assists with the set up and break down of city events. This position generally performs work as a member of a team of employees carrying out the day-to-day maintenance of city facilities and grounds, using appropriate tools and equipment for assigned tasks. Local or county government experience or experience in the Public Works field is preferred. This position reports to the General Services Director. JOB SUMMARY The purpose of this classification is to perform supervisory/manual work functions associated with construction, repair, maintenance, landscaping, and grounds keeping of city streets/roads, drainage systems, parks, and recreation facilities. The incumbent is responsible for leading a crew in the performance of construction and maintenance work related to streets and infrastructure in the City. Incumbent must maintain professionalism and courtesy while exposed to stressful situations associated with Building and Property Management operations and ensure crewmembers adhere to the same.
