About The Position

A Little Journey Montessori is seeking experienced, full-time Lead Teachers to guide one of our classrooms — Nido (infant) or Pre-Primary (toddler). We are looking to fill one position in each classroom. This is a hands-on leadership role in the classroom: you’ll set the tone, run the environment, and be the steady, trusted adult our families rely on every day. A Little Journey Montessori School nurtures every child’s natural love of learning in a warm, prepared environment from infancy through kindergarten.

Requirements

• Prior experience as a Lead Teacher or in a similar leadership classroom role.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• A calm, confident, and nurturing presence with young children.
• Reliability and a genuine commitment to early childhood education.

Nice To Haves

• Montessori certification preferred, but not required for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Lead Teacher for your classroom, overseeing daily routines, lesson planning, and classroom environment.
• Guide and mentor assistant teachers within your room.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with children and families.
• Maintain a prepared, orderly Montessori environment aligned with best practices.
• Communicate regularly with parents on their child’s progress.
