About The Position

The Lead Full Stack Engineer is accountable for defining, scaling, and continuously improving a core technology practice that underpins business strategy and delivery outcomes. This role combines deep technical expertise, practice governance, and people leadership to ensure the practice delivers high-quality, cost-effective, and modern solutions aligned with enterprise priorities. This lead acts as the technical authority, talent steward, and strategic partner for the practice including owning standards, capabilities, delivery health, and the long-term evolution of skills, tools, and ways of working.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in technology roles, with demonstrated leadership in complex, enterprise environments.
  • Proven experience leading a technology practice, domain, or capability area (e.g., Engineering, Cloud, Platform, Data, Integration).
  • Strong technical depth with the ability to engage credibly in architecture, design, and delivery discussions.
  • Experience operating at scale across distributed teams, vendors, and geographies.
  • Demonstrated success in talent development, mentoring, and organizational leadership.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at senior leadership levels.
  • Experience working with trading, collateral management, and investment accounting systems such as Findur (ION), Apex, SimCorp Dimension, or similar enterprise platforms used in front‑office, risk, collateral, and accounting workflows.
  • Familiarity with integrating multiple financial systems, including data flows, APIs, messaging, reconciliation, and ensuring operational stability across interconnected platforms.
  • Experience contributing to or supporting cloud migration initiatives, particularly using Azure services, containerization, and orchestration technologies such as Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the vision, roadmap, and operating model for the technology practice, aligned to enterprise strategy and architectural direction.
  • Serve as the senior technical escalation point and subject-matter authority for complex products in Collateral, Derivatives and Investment Accounting technology and address delivery challenges within the practice.
  • Partner with Architecture, Product, Delivery, and Business leaders to shape solutions and investment priorities.
  • Own and drive resolution of complex, cross-cutting technical challenges across three products, ensuring scalability, resilience, and alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
  • Provide technical leadership and hands-on guidance to product-level Technical Leads, supporting design decisions, implementation strategies, and risk mitigation.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for critical technical issues, balancing short-term delivery needs with long-term platform sustainability.
  • Collaborate with product, architecture, and senior technology stakeholders to shape technical roadmaps and align product execution with strategic objectives.
  • Ensure the practice consistently delivers high-quality outcomes across multiple initiatives, balancing speed, risk, and sustainability.
  • Monitor practice health using defined KPIs (quality, velocity, reliability, cost, and customer outcomes).
  • Possesses a comprehensive skill set and expertise in both front-end and back-end development of next generation products and services.
  • Develops, tests, and implements new features for scalable software solutions in key business domain applications such as Collateral, Derivatives and Investment accounting.
  • Designs, develops, tests, delivers, maintains, and improves business applications as a member of a team, working across full-stack through the entire software development lifecycle.
  • Drive adoption of modern engineering, delivery, and operational practices (e.g., DevOps, CI/CD, cloud-native, automation, SRE) within the core products in GA Technology
  • Support major programs and initiatives through hands-on guidance, design reviews, and technical assurance.
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise security, risk, regulatory, and operational standards.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate technical, delivery, and operational risks within the products.
  • Support audits, reviews, and governance forums as the accountable practice owner.
