About The Position
CoverGo is hiring a Lead Full Stack Engineer to guide the design, implementation, and maintenance of its insurance SaaS platform. The role provides technical direction across front-end and back-end development, collaborates with product, design, and engineering teams to translate requirements into cohesive solutions, and helps ensure platform performance, security, scalability, and code quality. The Lead Full Stack Engineer also mentors junior developers and supports the ongoing innovation and growth of the platform. The position is fully remote.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer, including a track record leading complex SaaS applications.
- At least 2 years in a lead or manager role, with the ability to guide and support development teams.
- Proficiency in back-end technologies including .NET Core, C#, GraphQL, MongoDB, and Docker.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and Vue.js and/or React.js.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for building scalable applications.
- Experience with microservices and/or clean architecture.
- Thorough understanding and practical experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Experience with unit, integration, and function testing using front-end and back-end testing libraries.
- Proficiency in Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles and modular architecture aligned with business domains.
- In-depth knowledge of web security best practices and experience ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
- Demonstrated experience optimizing performance for high-traffic web applications.
- Experience with container technologies such as Docker and a good understanding of cloud infrastructure and solutions.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and cross-functional collaboration.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting and bug fixing.
- Strong communication skills when working with technical and non-technical team members from diverse backgrounds.
- Passion for keeping up with software development trends, technologies, and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of insurance enterprise software solutions, providing technical direction to the team.
- Guide technology selection, architecture, and best practices across front-end and back-end technologies.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to understand requirements and technical concepts and deliver cohesive solutions with a seamless user experience.
- Optimize platform performance for large datasets and high user traffic.
- Lead code reviews, enforce coding best practices, and promote standards that maintain high code quality.
- Investigate and address bugs to uphold platform reliability.
- Follow web application security best practices and relevant regulations to support security and compliance.
- Stay current with technologies, frameworks, and best practices, and guide the team in maintaining innovation and competitiveness.
- Design for scalability and flexibility as platform features and the user base grow.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership.
