About The Position

Boyd Gaming Corporation is a leading casino entertainment company in the United States. This role reinforces department procedures and guides Hotel Clerks in their duties. The Lead Front Desk oversees room assignments, departures, guest account charges, and payment receipts. This position also provides administrative office assistance, supervises and trains hotel clerks, and resolves customer complaints. The Lead Front Desk coordinates services with other departments, operates hotel computer systems, delegates work, schedules staff, and analyzes player accounts for comp privileges. Responsibilities include generating daily reports, clearing due outs, overseeing room status, cash handling, performing night audit functions, and preparing for group arrivals. Other duties may be assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years hotel front desk experience or 1 year in a guest service position.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, and be able to operate LMS and CMS Hotel Systems.
  • Must present a polished, well-groomed, and professional appearance.
  • Able to work flexible shift as needed.
  • Must be able to stand for duration of shift.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses as required by local gaming regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • 10-key cashier experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Reinforces department procedures and guides Hotel Clerks in the performance of their duties.
  • Oversees the administration of room assignments, room departures, guest account charges and payment receipts.
  • Provides administrative office assistance.
  • Supervise and actively participate in the training and professional development of the hotel clerks.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve customer complaints or disputes and prevent reoccurrences.
  • Provide feedback to managers regarding policies and procedures and coordinate services with bell stand, valet and housekeeping.
  • Possess strong knowledge and ability to operate hotel computer systems.
  • Delegate work assignments, schedule and monitor staffing levels and employee breaks.
  • Analyze player accounts and determine level of comp privileges.
  • Generate reports daily
  • Clear due outs and oversee room status.
  • Responsible for cash handling.
  • Perform night audit functions.
  • Perform all hotel clerk duties as necessary.
  • Prepare for group arrivals.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
