About The Position
Personal Touch Food Service, Inc. is seeking a reliable and motivated Lead Food Service Worker to support and assist with daily kitchen operations at Star Point Middle School. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a school environment, has prior food service experience, and is looking to take a lead role within a supportive team.
Requirements
- Previous food service experience required (school setting preferred)
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Must be willing to work as a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, loud environment
- Dependable and punctual
- ServSafe Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Must be able to pass NYS background
Nice To Haves
- ServSafe Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and service during breakfast and/or lunch
- Supervise and guide food service staff during meal periods
- Ensure cleanliness and safety of kitchen and cafeteria areas
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards (in compliance with local health regulations)
- Monitor inventory and report supply needs
- Communicate effectively with staff and school personnel
