About The Position

The Lead Food Service Worker plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of food service activities within a retail trade environment. This position is responsible for overseeing daily food preparation, maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene, and leading a team to deliver exceptional customer service. The Lead Food Service Worker acts as a liaison between management and staff, coordinating schedules and training to optimize productivity and quality. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience in food service or a related field.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Leadership skills to guide and support team members, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to standard.
  • Effective communication skills for coordinating between staff and management, as well as for delivering excellent customer service.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation applied consistently to maintain compliance and protect public health.
  • Organizational skills for managing schedules, inventory, and workflow to optimize operations.
  • Problem-solving abilities to address challenges promptly, ensuring a seamless food service experience for customers.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service workers to ensure efficient and timely food preparation and service.
