About The Position
Lead Food Service Worker needed for school food service program in the Edison, NJ area. This is a Monday through Friday, day shift position with no weekends or holidays, and summers off. The role requires comfort in leading a kitchen team in a fast-paced environment and training staff as needed. Possible travel within the school district may be required. Must be able to obtain the proper documentation to work in NJ schools.
Requirements
- Food service/cooking experience.
- Supervisory experience.
- Must be able to obtain the proper documentation to work in NJ schools.
Nice To Haves
- K-12 experience.
- ServSafe® certified.
Responsibilities
- Lead a kitchen team in a fast-paced environment.
- Train staff as needed.
- Follow recipes according to the NSLP guidelines.
- Observe that all safety and food handling procedures are followed at all times.
- Enforce the use of Personal Protective equipment at all times.
