About The Position

Amerit Fleet Solutions is seeking an experienced Lead Technician to join their team in Forest Park, GA. This role is responsible for the timely repair and maintenance of light, medium, or heavy-duty vehicles to ensure a safe and efficient fleet. The Lead Technician will also manage employees and garage operations. The position offers weekly pay, with benefits starting within 30 days, and a potential bonus of up to $5,000. The pay rate is $36.00 - $40.00 per hour, based on experience. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, which is a day shift.

Requirements

• At least 5 years experience performing vehicle maintenance
• Fleet maintenance experience
• DOT inspection experience
• Must be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine if operating properly
• Must provide own hand tools & toolbox
• Knowledge of hand held scan tools and the process of diagnosing vehicles
• Ability to read schematics and familiar with process
• Proficient computer skills: knowledge of Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, and Email
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.)

Nice To Haves

• ASE Certifications preferred
• EPA 608 Certification Preferred
• Commercial Driver’s License class “A” or “B “ preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Fleet manager in completing shift work
• Supervise 2 or more other employees, while working
• Update work orders, close work orders, and work with drivers
• Maintain, order, and update parts inventory
• Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer
• Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation required
• Inspect and perform work on the under parts of vehicles
• Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
• Move parts to and from the job site and remove or install these parts on vehicle
• Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
• Perform other duties as required
